R.G., IL (2019) I came to Olga Saletsky after many years of struggle with allergies, asthma, insomnia, depression, fear of travel, and more recently, a diagnosis of COPD with chronic bronchitis. She was listed in the homeopathic directory, as someone who practiced in my area. Marina and Kseniya Levinstein (2012) Vasia is a purebred miniature dachshund. But he is not your average dog. When he was picked up from his breeder in Wisconsin, he matched the other pups in size, but as he grew, he resembled not a miniature dachshund, but a regular dachshund. He sure wasn’t the runt of the litter. Vasia is now 4 years old and he is one of the most energetic dogs out there! He loves to chase flies around the house in the summer, barking at all the birds or squirrel’s that come into his backyard to eat from the bird feeders, sleeping at his owners feet at the dinner table, sleeping on the couches in the sun just like a cat, and running around the house with his toys. He has never growled at us at all. He only barks when he’s begging for food, in a cute way of course! Overall he is our best friend and the best dog we could have asked for. Then a tragedy happened in our household. Vasia used to love running up the stairs at night when everyone was going to bed and sleeping in our beds with us at night, even though he had his own bed and crate downstairs! For 4 years he would follow us up and down the stairs; he always wanted to be nearby us at all times. One night, Vasia was running down the stairs, and all we here is how he started to cry; not just a little cry, but a horrible scared cry. That was the first time any of us had heard him cry like that. He started limping, and within five minutes he had lost all movement in his back legs and tail. We took him to the vet that night. His tail was limp, even when he became excited to see the other dogs at the vets office, he couldn’t wag his tail. His movement was gone. Turned out he had fallen down the stairs and had severed the major nerve in his spinal cord. The vet had told us we could either have expensive and complicated surgery that would only give him a 50% chance of walking, or we could try laser therapy. We chose the therapy instead of putting him through a risky surgery with a long recovery time. The therapy had helped a little bit; he had started to move his tail somewhat. But his leg movement had not changed. The therapy had given him all it could offer. We had chosen to take care of our beloved dog even if he would never be able to walk; there was no way we were going to put him in surgery or put him down. None of us had any hope he would walk again. Vasia would never be able to do any of the things he had used to do. Luckily, we had a family friend who had a passion for animals and wanted to help after he had heard what happened to Vasia. He had told us he could do massage therapy on Vasia, and of course, we agreed. We took Vasia to therapy every other day, and with each visit Vasia started getting better. Within about 3 months of therapy, Vasia started to walk on his own! He would walk a few steps and fall on his behind. Soon though, Vasia started to be able to walk and even run without falling over! He had made a recovery unlike that what any of us thought! Today, when you see Vasia walk you can tell that there is something wrong with his back legs, but he is doing so much better then what any of us had thought! He walks, he runs, he chases his flies and his squirrels, he is back to the same Vasia we all knew! We don’t allow him to jump on furniture or use the stairs anymore; any more damage to his spinal disks and nerves and he could hurt himself worse than he did before. We need to be careful with his back if we are picking him up. Everything we now do with Vasia we have to always be considerate of his back. We are so happy Vasia is able to walk. He is an amazing dog and his recovery is a miracle.

I was told that to keep my allergies under control I have to take steroids. As a result within very short period of time I gain over 30 pounds, but allergies were still with me…. It was period of time when my son had constant sties, the traditional medicine couldn’t do anything to prevent this problem. We had been through the normal course of using a nebulizer and various drug therapies. He had negative reactions to most drugs, and was repeatedly hospitalized. I changed the direction of his treatment when it was suggested he begin prednisone on a daily basis. I sought out alternative treatment instead, and found a doctor who practiced homeopathy.
